About the web site owner/designer.

Keith @ London Xmas 1998 Name : Keith Parker
I was born on Thursday 30th January 1969 at Stepping Hill Hospital Cheshire. I spent my first few years living in Marple during which time my sister Debbie was born. Our family then moved to Poynton, where I attended Poynton County Infant, Junior and High Schools. Our family then moved to Tytherington and I started my working life first as an apprentice mechanic and then as a parts person. I have also worked as a kitchen assistant, car audio / alarm fitter and vinyl sign designer / fitter. I became interested in computers at school and have since been asked to set up several computer systems due to my knowledge of computers. These have been varied from basic word processing PC's to stock control systems.  I first got involved with the internet after trying to get hold of driver software for an old PC I was asked to fix for a friend. During a short period of unemployment due to lack of qualifications, I attended Keith with winning 50/50 ticket & wearing
signed players shirt after All Stars game 1998 a computer maintenance course. After completing the course I decided to have a go at web site design (you're looking at my web site design right now) whilst looking for full time employment. You may have noticed that I have not mentioned my hobbies and watching Ice Hockey, this is because of the old saying "saving the best till last".  I first went to the Nynex Arena to watch Manchester Storm ice hockey in November 1997. I enjoyed it so much I have only missed a few home games until 2009. The Nynex Arena has now changed name to the Manchester Evening News Arena. In 1998 I went to a few away games and ended the year at the All Stars game in London. This was one of the best games I have been to as I won the 50/50 draw and a signed players shirt (Rob Wilson). The photo on the left appeared in the Manchester Storm match night program a few weeks later on my birthday thanks to my sister! During 1999 one of Manchester Storms top players Brad Rubachuk suffered a career ending injury. As a tribute to him the fans organised "Ruby's farewell Bash". The picture below on the right Brad Rubachuk & Me @ Rubys Bashwas taken at the event and a few weeks later his shirt number was retired. In 2002 The Manchester Storm went into liquidation and the only Ice Hockey in the Manchester area was at Altrincham which closed at Easter 2003. This was when Friends of Manchester Ice Hockey (FoMIH) was formed to bring back Ice Hockey to Manchester as Manchester Phoenix. This was achieved during 2003 and after a 2 years out they returned to play out of  a newly build arena in Altrincham. I also collect die cast models of steam engines (not trains) and to expand my collection I started buying and selling on eBay, Due to the fact so many models have been produced over the years and no listings are available I decided to create an online version at the end of 2006, This also prompted a re-think on the web design hence this latest version uses cascading style sheets (CSS).
